Types Of Ads

Marketplace offers you two different types of ads which you can select during ad posting or reposting. It is not possible to switch between different ad types while it is live. Available types are:

  1. For Sale
  2. Wanted

How to Report an ad

If you feel that the ad is breaking some rules, you can report it directly from ad page by clicking on the Report button and writing detail reason.Ad will remain active until administrator checks it out.

How can I contact seller?

In order to retrieve phone number of the seller go to its profile page or any of his ads and you will notice block with phone number.If you wish to start messaging conversation with the seller first create an account.Once you have created your account navigate to any of his ads and you will notice button for sending message. List of your messages is available on your profile.There you have AJAX messaging system where you will be able to continue conversations.

How to place an ad

You must first register for an account to submit ads

1. Click submit ad on the top right of your dashboard having signed in

2. Fill out ad details, Ad category and ad location and contact section

3. Upload pictures

4. Agree terms and conditions and click submit ad and select make payment

I can’t get through the phone number on an ad

If you have problems getting through to a phone number in an ad it is normally due to one of the following reasons:

1.Cross-border number: If the phone number is for the other side of the border (Ireland vs. Northern Ireland) you should add the country prefix to the phone number.

2.Wrong number: The person who placed the ad may have put the wrong phone number in the ad by mistake. Please try to contact the seller through the Send Message to Seller link in the contact section of their ad. If you get no response, please report the ad to us.

3.Scam: It may also be a scammer who hasn’t used a real phone number. If the phone number in the ad doesn’t work, please be extra careful If you suspect the ad is a scam, please report the ad to us and we will remove it.

4.If the phone number continually rings out or goes to voicemail, remember it could simply be that the seller can’t answer the phone for some reason. This is unusual, but something may have happened since they put up the ad. Try to make contact through the Send Message to Seller link in the contact section of their ad. Otherwise, the only thing you can do is to try the phone number again another time.

How long does my ad stay online?

Your ad will remain live for 90 days. You can remove your ad yourself at any stage by logging into your Ads4tractors account.It’s a good idea to remove your ad when you’ve sold the items so that you don’t get more calls from people trying to buy your item.
